The children looked in detail at three different paintings of the Nativity scene and discussed the significance of the people in the scene and what the artist was trying to put across to his audience. Walking back to the station we passed through Trafalgar square and took a picture of the Christmas tree from Norway which is sent annually as a thank you to our country.

The children carried out an investigation to discover what happens to our hear rate when we exercise. They took their resting heart rate using stopwatches and the after exercising for a short time, they then used the stopwatch again to count their heart beats. Notre Dame school was honoured to be visited by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state in Nigeria. He inspired the children by telling them about his life and how he succeeded through education. He told them that the sky is the limit for them. The children were than able to ask him questions to discover more about his life.
